Clinical & Other Services
Our clinical programs provide care through the Stone Institute of Psychiatry and emphasize expert diagnosis, early intervention, continuity of care, and access to new therapies and clinical research protocols. Disease-specific programs, led by faculty members who are expert in the area, offer individualized care, and are paired with related clinical or translational research programs. Our disease-specific programs include the Asher Mood Disorders Program, the Psychotic Disorders Program, the Anxiety Disorders Program, the Psychiatry and Oncology Program, and the Women’s Mental Health Program.
The disease-specific programs are supported by a wide array of clinical services, including inpatient and outpatient treatment programs at the Stone Institute. As critical supplements to these core programs, we offer structured psychotherapy programs, specialized care for patients who are refractory to conventional treatments, and emergency housing at the Lawson YMCA.
We emphasize early diagnosis and intervention at the Stone Institute. A First Contact Program offers a family-friendly setting in which individuals who are experiencing the symptoms of mental illness for the first time can obtain expert information and care. Our goal is to work with every patient so that they can resume their lives and pursue life goals of their own choosing.
