Research Projects:
Northwestern Juvenile Project, the first comprehensive large-scale study of psychiatric disorders and risky behaviors among 1,800 juvenile detainees; this project has been expanded into a longitudinal study to understand long-term outcomes (e.g., violence, HIV/AIDS risk, death) for these high-risk youth; Northwestern Victimization Project, a unique study of criminal victimization patterns among severely mentally ill persons who live in the community.
