Research Projects:
Studies of neuropsychological features of dementia and normal aging.  Current projects include the relationship between memory and language in primary progressive aphasia )PPA); the course of grammatical disintegration in PPA; and neuropsychological markers in cognitive SuperAgers.  Collaborations with investigators throughout Northwestern include memory and sleep in aging, the effect of cognitive training on memory in mild cognitive impairment, and clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease.

Clinical Interests:
Neuropsychological assessment of patients with all forms of progressive dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, primary progressive aphasia, behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia, and young onset dementia; short-term educational and supportive counseling for patients and caregivers.
